Salesforce DevOps Technical Consultant (Contract) – Telecoms Sector

3-Month Contract | January Start | Remote (Must be based in the UK OR EU)

TechOhana is thrilled to partner with an industry-leading telecoms company seeking aSalesforce DevOps Technical Consultantto spearhead critical advancements in their DevOps and deployment strategies.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with expertise inPackage Management,Version Control, andDeployment Strategiesto make a tangible impact on a cutting-edge Salesforce ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transition the

    current Package 2.0 model

    to a streamlined

    whole-org deployment model.

  • Implement a

    single trunk branch deployment strategy

    for efficiency and stability.

  • Oversee the migration from

    GitLab

    to

    Bitbucket and Git

    (company standard).

  • Utilise

    Gearset

    for CPQ data deployment and management, ensuring seamless integrations and adherence to best practices.

  • Enhance code coverage from

    56% to 75%, meeting production deployment requirements.

  • Drive updates to Salesforce's

    Security Model, replacing profiles with

    Permission Sets

    for improved compliance and cross-team visibility.

Sandbox & Data Management

  • Design sandbox refresh processes with production parity.

  • Establish a reliable base dataset using

    CSV seeding

    or backup systems.

  • Leverage

    Scratch Orgs

    selectively while accommodating CPQ requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in

    Visual Studio

    with the

    Salesforce Einstein extension

    for code review, optimisation, and test class development.

  • Expertise in

    trunk-based development

    and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.

  • Strong grasp of Salesforce DevOps tools like

    Gearset.

  • Demonstrable experience with

    Salesforce security compliance, including Permission Sets and Integration Licenses.
