Job Summary:

TechOhana has recently partnered with a prominent nonprofit organization who is seeking an experiencedSalesforce Business Application Managerto lead the strategy, management, and optimization of its Salesforce platform. This role is critical to ensuring that the Salesforce ecosystem, particularly the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), supports the organization’s mission, fundraising, donor management, and volunteer coordination. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technology and organizational goals, driving impactful solutions that enhance operational efficiency and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Salesforce Platform Management:

  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the Salesforce platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security, with a focus on the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).

  • Manage configurations and customizations, including data models, page layouts, workflows, and integrations with third-party applications.

  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with nonprofit standards and regulations, implementing best practices in data governance and quality.

  • Business Process Optimization:

  • Collaborate with internal teams (fundraising, marketing, volunteer coordination, and program management) to understand organizational needs and design solutions within Salesforce to meet those needs.

  • Optimize business processes through automation using Salesforce tools like Flows, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules to improve donor management, grant tracking, and volunteer management.

  • Identify opportunities for platform improvements and lead initiatives to enhance the organization's use of Salesforce and its capabilities.

  • Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead a team of Salesforce administrators, developers, and analysts, guiding them to deliver high-quality solutions and support.

  • Mentor and develop team members, providing training on best practices and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Foster collaboration between departments to ensure cohesive Salesforce strategies and solutions that align with the organization’s mission.

  • Project Management:

  • Lead Salesforce-related projects, ensuring effective implementation of new features and integrations that enhance the organization's capabilities in areas such as donor engagement, fundraising campaigns, and impact reporting.

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, including planning, scoping, development, testing, and deployment, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

  • Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of complex integrations or custom solutions.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with nonprofit leadership to align Salesforce initiatives with the organization's strategic goals, providing insights and reporting to support decision-making.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Salesforce across the organization, ensuring consistent communication and understanding of how the platform supports organizational goals.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, consultants, and Salesforce to stay updated on best practices and new features.

Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Certifications

    (Administrator, Nonprofit Cloud Consultant, Advanced Administrator) preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce administration and/or development, with at least 2 years in a nonprofit environment.

  • Expertise in the

    Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)

    and other Salesforce tools for nonprofits, including donor management, grant tracking, and program management.

  • Proven experience leading Salesforce projects, managing system improvements, and overseeing integrations with third-party applications.

  • Strong understanding of nonprofit business processes, including fundraising, donor relations, and volunteer management.

  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of Salesforce professionals.

  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering Salesforce solutions on time and within budget.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with

    Salesforce Marketing Cloud

    or

    Pardot

    for nonprofit fundraising campaigns.

  • Familiarity with

    Apex, Visualforce, and other development tools.

  • Knowledge of fundraising platforms, event management tools, and data integration technologies relevant to nonprofits.
